SharePoint
Microsoft SharePoint 2007 offers a powerful solution
to today's complex collaborative business environments.
As an integrated suite of server capabilities, Microsoft
SharePoint can help improve organizational effectiveness
by providing comprehensive content management and
enterprise search, accelerating shared business processes,
and facilitating information- sharing across boundaries
for better business insight.
Hyland Software compliments and extends Microsoft
SharePoint with its powerful and proven OnBase
Electronic Content Manage (ECM) system. The OnBase
SharePoint Solution Suite enables organizations to
include high volume scanning, extended content
types such as COLD/ERM, targeted searching and
codeless workflow functionality directly into their
native SharePoint system. The result is cost-effective
solution for even the most demanding of collaborative
content management needs.
Web Parts
Microsoft SharePoint users can search, retrieve, view
and interact with documents, business processes and
collaboration spaces they need to perform their primary
job responsibilities from within a SharePoint Web
page using the OnBase Web Parts for Microsoft
SharePoint module. This integration leverages the
point-and-click configurable StatusView functionality
of the OnBase Web Server which allows users to
create personalized views of content and processes
with Web portal components called "portlets".
A SharePoint Web Part that wraps these StatusView
portlets allows them to be plugged into any SharePoint
Web page. From standard document lists and Workflow
queue views to interactive 3-D visual graphic summaries,
users have the ability to view and access the content
formats that best serve their needs.
OnBase Web Parts for Microsoft SharePoint utilizes
standard authentication methods to allow for a single
sign-on experience while maintaining required high
levels of user security. This means that users are not
prompted for their OnBase credentials each time a
page is loaded; providing a seamless, hassle-free
user experience.

Integration for Microsoft Search

when using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
Search and Microsoft Search Server 2008 products.
Using Microsoft SharePoint as a front-end, OnBase
can participate in federated searching across multiple
systems:
- Secondary repositories
- File Systems
- Web sites
OnBase content is made searchable two ways -
workflow or achieve services. The searches are
transparent to the user and the user is able to
search by keywords, full text, or keywords and full
text. Keyword searches can use mapped properties
(SharePoint metadata to OnBase Keywords)
